Meet the Coach

Hi!  I'm Coach Wagers and I'm so excited to start another year in the most fun place in the school - THE GYM, DUH!  This is my 23rd year teaching and my 9th year at SJE.  I graduated from Deer Park High School - GO BIG DEER!  I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Specialization in Dance from The University of Houston - GO COOGS!  I have taught dance in both High Schools and Middle Schools in both Pasadena and Houston ISD before landing as one of the Coaches here at SJE.  You may have also seen me on the football fields coaching little league cheer and dance as well!

 

My husband and I are are both Deer Park graduates and our 2 boys are also "Deer in Training".  Donovan attends Deer Park High School and Colin attends Deer Park Junior High.  When I'm not teaching or watching my boys play sports, I enjoy spending time at my 2 favorite places on Earth - The Frio River where I enjoy going to the Garner Dance and watching my boys jump off the rope swings, and Port Aransas where I enjoy taking golf cart rides to the beach to watch my husband and boys jump on a surfboard and surf the Gulf waves.

 

It's going to be a great year at SJE, the BEST place to be!!!
