Meet Your Teacher

I am so excited for our year together!

This will be my 19th year teaching and 17th year teaching in Deer Park ISD- GOOO DEER!!! I graduated from U of H Clear Lake with a major in Early Childhood Education and a minor in English. I went on to earn a master's degree in Gifted and Talented Education at Lamar University. 

I have been married 30 years to my best friend. I love running, reading, going out to eat, and of course a little shopping! We also enjoy spending time with our 2 children, Mason and Meagan, and their spouses. They are the best! I LOVE my family!

Our GT classroom is a fun and supportive place to learn and grow. I believe in a GROWTH MINDSET and base our learning environment on exploration, projects, collaboration, and purposeful academic talk. I believe school should be a fun and happy place that students want to come to each day!
