Meet the Teacher

   I have been teaching school for 23 years!  Most of my time has been teaching 4th grade ELA.  Now I am an intervention teacher for reading and math in grades 3-5.  I graduated from Sam Houston State University and I graduated high school from Deer Park...Go Deer!  My husband and I have two adult children who are married.  They live close by, and we enjoy getting together with them.  We also have two dogs, Butterz and Ladybug.  

 

  I believe that every child has a life purpose and teachers can help guide them to find the right path.  I hope that as I work with students, I can help them see that working hard matters and no obstacle is too difficult to overcome.  I want them to know that they are more than a test score, more than the mistakes they have made and have something worth contributing to the world they live in!
