Principal’s Welcome

My goal, as the SJE principal, is to lead the staff in creating a safe and nurturing student-centered environment.  We are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to give our students the quality education they deserve, so our committed and knowledgeable staff provides a rigorous academic program that stresses high expectations for every child.  We have pledged to use research in order to choose and implement the most effective teaching practices as we endeavor to make decisions that reflect the best interests of our students.  We believe that learning should be meaningful and applicable to real life, and that when children are truly engaged in learning they are self-directed and motivated to strive for excellence each and every day. 

Academic achievement is our primary goal, but we also hope our school is a place where every child feels accepted, supported and valued.    It is our desire that each classroom will have a community spirit where teachers and students learn together, work together, and have fun together in a positive atmosphere of mutual respect. It’s important to us that our students are prepared to be productive citizens, so we also provide a variety of leadership opportunities that will enable them to successfully compete in the workplace of the future.  

At San Jacinto Elementary we are especially blessed with supportive parents who are also determined to do whatever it takes for the success of their children.  Our close partnership with parents most certainly contributes to the school’s effectiveness.  I’d like to extend an open invitation to every parent to visit often and become an active part of your child’s education.   We value your input and participation in helping SJE be the very best it can be.
