About Mrs. Day
Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Day, and I’m so excited to be your 2nd grade teacher this year! This will be my 10th year teaching, and I believe building strong, caring relationships is so important with my students. When students feel valued and know that I truly care about them, that’s when the best learning happens! I graduated from UHCL with my Bachelors Degree in Education in 2015. I am certified to teach Early Childhood-6th grade, and I’m also ESL and GT certified. Outside of the classroom, I spend my time with my husband and our three energetic boys. We stay busy cheering them on at their sports games, and we love spending time together as a family. I can’t wait to get to know each of you and make this year a fun and successful adventure in learning!
